Everything an instructor needs

More than a diary

Your brand

Your name, not ours

Your logo, colours and school name on the pupil page, invoices, reminders and texts. Emails come from you and replies go to you.

Your pupils

A page for every pupil

Next lessons, paid hours left, theory and test dates, progress and your note from the last lesson. Send the link once; it’s always up to date.

Your pupils

Book and cancel online

Pupils pick from your free times, on the days and hours you set. You approve each request, or let them book straight in. Cancellations follow your notice rule, and you can see each pick-up before you accept.

Getting paid

Paid hours, shown as lessons

Pupils buy hours up front on their page, or you sell them in the car: 10 hours shows as 5 two-hour lessons. Each lesson comes off their paid hours, and a lesson that’s paid for is never billed again.

Getting paid

No chasing

Pupils pay before their lessons, so there’s nothing to chase. If a lesson’s coming up that isn’t paid for, one polite message asks them to buy hours, if you switch it on. Pay-as-you-go pupils get a bill when you tap Done.

Getting paid

Late cancellation fees

Set your notice period and charge. Late cancellations are flagged and billed in one tap, so you’re not left out of pocket.

Teaching

DVSA syllabus progress

Twenty areas from cockpit checks to motorways, each marked from introduced to independent. A test-ready percentage keeps everyone honest.

Teaching

Tests and your pass rate

Theory and test dates, mock tests in the diary and each result with driving faults. See your pass rate and first-time passes against the national average, ready to share.

Scheduling

Repeat lessons and clash checks

Book the same slot every week in one go. The diary warns you before anything overlaps.

Scheduling

Notifications and reminders

Pupils get a notification when a lesson is confirmed and the day before, plus a text in one tap. You’re told the moment a pupil books or cancels.

Scheduling

In your phone’s calendar

Every lesson shows in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook, with pick-ups and phone numbers, and keeps itself up to date.

Getting paid

Pay when they book

Switch it on and pupils pay by card or bank as soon as they pick a time online, for whatever their paid hours don’t already cover.

Scheduling

Fill cancelled slots

Pupils can join a waiting list for earlier lessons. When a lesson is cancelled, everyone on the list is told and can ask for it. You see the pick-ups either side and decide if you can fit it in.

Staying legal

Badge, insurance and MOT reminders

Your ADI badge, instructor insurance, MOT, tax, DBS and standards check, with reminders before each one runs out.

Tax

Mileage and receipts

Log business miles from your mileometer in seconds and snap fuel and car receipts. Your accountant gets free access for Making Tax Digital.

Common questions

Will my pupils see PaySorted?

Hardly at all. The pupil page, invoices, reminders and payment page show your logo, your colour and your school's name, and emails come from your name with replies going to you. Invoices carry a small "Sent with PaySorted" line at the bottom.

Can pupils book their own lessons?

Yes, if you want them to. Set the days and hours you teach and the lesson lengths you offer. Pupils only see times you're free, and you can approve each request or let them book straight in.

How do paid hours work?

Pupils buy hours up front, for example 10 hours (five 2-hour lessons), on their page or from you. The hours go on once it's paid, each lesson you mark done comes off them, and nobody is ever asked to pay for a lesson their hours cover. If they pass with hours left, you can record a refund for the unused hours.

Do you chase pupils for money?

No. Driving lessons are paid up front, so PaySorted doesn't send payment reminders. The only message is optional: if a lesson is coming up and isn't paid for, whoever pays gets one polite request to buy a lesson or hours.

Can parents pay instead of the pupil?

Yes. Choose who pays for each pupil. Bills and messages go to the parent, and the pupil still gets their own page.

Can I charge for late cancellations?

Yes. Set your notice period and how much you charge. Late cancellations are flagged in your diary and billed in one tap.

Does it track progress against the DVSA syllabus?

Yes. Twenty areas from cockpit drill to motorways and show me, tell me, each marked from introduced to independent, with a test-ready score the pupil can see.
