New UK app chases tradespeople's unpaid invoices and gives their accountants quarterly figures for Making Tax Digital, free
PaySorted is a new invoicing app for UK tradespeople and small businesses. Plumbers, electricians, builders and other trades send quotes and invoices from their phone, and PaySorted automatically sends polite reminders by email and text until the customer pays. Chasing stops the moment they do.
Alongside the app, PaySorted gives accountants and bookkeepers a free portal. Once a client agrees, the practice sees every trade client in one place: who is owed what, who is paying late, CIS deductions, VAT figures and totals for each Making Tax Digital quarter, with a "records ready" tick and a one-click period-end pack.
It arrives as Making Tax Digital for Income Tax brings sole traders into quarterly digital updates: it started in April 2026 for those earning over £50,000, and extends to over £30,000 from April 2027 and over £20,000 from April 2028. PaySorted works alongside Xero, QuickBooks, FreeAgent and Sage rather than replacing them. It prepares the quarterly figures; it doesn't submit them to HMRC.
"Tradespeople don't fall behind on paperwork because they don't care. They're out on jobs all day, and chasing money always comes last. We built PaySorted to do the chasing for them, and to give their accountant the figures they need without waiting for a carrier bag of receipts."Gary Callaway, founder, PaySorted
